In order to program the VNC2 chip you will need the VNC2 debug module, (which you already bought), the FTDI virtual com port drivers, (which are probably already installed on your PC) and the Vinculum II IDE which can be downloaded here http://www.ftdichip.com/Firmware/VNC2tools.htm - I downloaded the SP2 version.

V2DAP-V2.0.0-SP1.rom must be in VNC2 programming directory.

Power main unit with both the pickit 3 and keypad rest headers connected. Pull the fuse to connect the wires.

Open the IDE, plug the debug module into the PC and then into the Main Unit, main unit powered up.

Go to the DEBUG tab, in the Debugger Interface click on the green tick, then click on the VII Debugger Module and click OK. (Refresh debuggers if necessary).

In the Program box click Flash and then find and open the ROM file in the the VNC2 programming directory.

The VNC2 will be erased and then programmed with the ROM file you selected.
